The repetition in this made it relatively simple for me to follow the progression of numbers. It is fascinating that by just seeing a character and a number we are able to put together, 'Oh! That means eight hundreds and six tens. That must be 860.'

This is a great microlesson and one of my favorites. You must learn the digits before you try and learn this microlesson. If you've done that it really speaks to the ability of the application to teach rules. in this case, in about 10 minutes you can learn the rules to make nearly every chinese number from 1 to 999! Thanks to Lisa for her artwork in pulling these letters together in combinations!
